Welcome to
EAA Chapter 863 EAA Chapter 863 has about 60 active members. The atmosphere is friendly and open. Members enjoy sharing their wealth of knowledge as they catch up on the latest "hangar flying." The group brings forth a broad base of building talent which includes tube and fabric construction, sheet metal work, welding and composites. Some members are flight instructors, others are A&P's and IA's. If you have ever thought about building your own airplane this is the right place to be. We normally hold monthly chapter meetings on the second Thursday of each month at the Lebanon Municipal Airport in Lebanon, Tennessee at 7:00 PM. Occasionally, we will meet elsewhere to see how some of our chapter members are progressing on their projects. Check the calendar or newsletter to confirm our next meeting location and plan to join us. We'd love to have you. Several members have aircraft projects under construction and some already have taken to the air. Vans RV series is quite popular within the group. Other projects include a Skybolt bi-plane, a One Design aerobatic plane and a Glass Goose composite amphibian to name a few. The EAA Young Eagles Program is actively supported by the Chapter. Members donate their time, aircraft and fuel to give young people between the ages 8 and 17 the opportunity to go for a FREE airplane ride! Flights are normally scheduled through the Young Eagles Director weather permitting. During the Fall each year the Chapter sponsors the Fall Classic Fly-in at the Lebanon Municipal Airport. A wide variety of aircraft are featured along with seminars and forums on building and flying techniques. Why not mark your calendar now and plan to attend. If you have any questions about EAA or would like contact with someone about joining our Chapter please call or email our Membership Director listed on the Membership page.
